Plastering and Rendering in Pudsey

Pudsey didn’t start out as one town. It grew from several separate settlements, including Fartown, Chapeltown and Lowtown, that merged together as the wool trade expanded through the early-to-mid 19th century. That history shows up in the building stock today: rather than one uniform estate, Pudsey is more of a patchwork, with older stone cottages and terraces from its industrial past sitting alongside later Victorian, Edwardian and 20th-century housing built as the town filled in around them.
